Summer has most certainly arrived and December has been hotter than previous years but our guests were thrilled to have only a few days of rain affect their beach holiday. We provide silent overhead fans in the bedrooms and our housekeeping ladies close the window block out blinds during the day.
Some interesting stats to follow below from holidayweather.com about the Plettenberg Bay climate which demonstrate how even the chances or rain, wind and cloud are throughout the year.
Plettenberg Bay normally receives about 700mm of rain per year, with rainfall occuring throughout the year. The chart below (lower left) shows the average rainfall values for Plettenberg Bay per month.
It receives the lowest rainfall (50mm) in June and the highest (72mm) in October.
Summer also means our pool gets used by guests who would like to escape the crowds on the beach and also enjoy some shade. Before peak season we paved a third area around the swimming pool and replaced all grass with paving stones. This means our 6 pool loungers and 2 umbrellas offer a comfortable and private space in a secluded part of the garden.
